At California Riding Academy, almost fifty percent of our clients are adults! You will not be alone in your quest to become a better horseman. Our Academy Riding Program is geared towards your personal growth at a rate comfortable for you. With our convenient upper peninsula location, we are close to San Francisco and many bay and coastal cities.

Did you ride as a child and miss that cherished feeling of being on a horse? Never had the opportunity to ride and now have the time? Whatever your circumstances, we are here to guide your horse-habit in the right direction. We offer both basic English or Western lessons with specialty of Dressage and Jumping for more advanced riders. You will receive positive, professional and safe instruction in accordance with your personal goals. Our personable staff and team of high quality school horses and ponies complete our team. The Academy values horsemanship and students learn to groom and tack-up their own horses, although for the busy adult, we do offer the service of having your horse prepped to ride.

We offer 1-hour Private and small Group lessons, with discounts for committed riders. For those who are interested, we host in-house schooling shows to introduce, or reintroduce! lesson students to the exciting world of horse competition. Many of our students graduate from the Academy and progress to be successful competitors and horse owners. Lease and purchase options available.
